Sámuel Tessedik, evangelical pastor, teacher, agricultural reformer and publicist died 200 years ago

Sámuel Tessedik (1742-1820) – though of Slovak descent – had become one of the most remarkable figures of the Hungarian enlightenment, whose work was equally influenced by Rousseau's philosophy, the rationalism of the enlightenment and the practical religiousness of pietism.
