Processing foreign legal literature in the Library of Parliament
In the acquisitions policy of the Library of Parliament legal science
has enjoyed priority right from the beginning. Its collection principles
laid down in 1894 also reflected the importance of law, which in turn
also became accentuated by the Legal Deposit Act of 1922 as well as
ministerial decree No. 164 of 1958 issued by the minister of culture
that rendered the Library of Parliament a national special research
library of law, 20th century and contemporary history and political
science.
