Remembering the Treaty of Trianon
The signing of the peace agreement of 1920 between the allies and the Kingdom of Hungary marked the beginning of a new era in the course of Hungarian history, as being one of the most tragic and painful events of the 20th century it had determined the country’s economic and political fate for decades and has palpable consequences even today.
In 2010, the House of Parliament pronounced June 4, the actual date of signing the treaty to become the Day of National Togetherness, which we have celebrated each year ever since.
